Atal Bihari Vajpayee- The Fountainhead of Simplicity and Effectiveness!

Coming from a humble background, Vajpayeeji proves that a man of integrity is self-sufficient and is a well of ascension. A person's conscience is that single thing that doesn't abide by majority rule. Staying silent when it's more important to speak up is a trait of a true coward. There is nothing wise about it. You may not win every battle but atleast you  were conscious enough to stand for what is right and atleast you had the guts to do right, which is a great contribution in itself. Vajpayeeji's oratorial skills won him a remarkable connection with the public at large. He was the first Indian Prime Minister who was not a member of the Indian National Congress Party.

Communication skills have been an asset to him in his journey of life. Vajpayeeji became the first person in 1977 to deliver a speech to the United Nations General Assembly in Hindi.  He was a noted poet writer in Hindi. His published work include Kaidi Kavirai Ki Kundalian, a collection of poems written when he was imprisoned during emergency in 1975-77. Vajpayeeji authored several works of both prose and poetry.

The Administration of Narendra Modi declared in 2014 that Vajpayeeji's birthday- 25th December would be marked as Good Governance Day. He was conferred India's highest civilian honour, The Bharat Ratna by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in 2015.

Integrity is not conditional. It doesn't wither with the weather. It's your inner light which shines more during the storms of life. Integrity is when you never do anything in private that you can't speak about in public. Your thoughts and actions shall match your principles. Your inner-truth barometer is what you should count on while seeking real feedback of your own thoughts and actions, otherwise you are simply hiding from your own self. Not to erode your personal values in turbulent times makes you apart from the ordinary and truly classifies you as special. In 2012 Vajpayeeji was ranked no.9 in Outlook India's poll of The Greatest Indian. He received honour in various other ways like- Naya Raipur was renamed as Atal Nagar. Four Himalayan Peaks near Gangotri Glacier were named after his name. Not only this he is a recipient of great awards like- Padma Vibhushan, Outstanding Parliamentary Award, Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Vallabh Pant Award, Bangladesh Liberation War Honour, etc.

India reacted to Vajpayeeji's death with a seven day mourning, as announced by the Central Government. The National Flag flew half-mast during this period. Thousands of people paid their respects during his funeral procession. Various dignitaries from across the globe attended his funeral. People paid their tributes in large no. through social media platforms. Different Nations shared their condolences on his death by speaking highly about him. Such was his aura and the kind of legacy he left behind.
